True to its heritage yet obliged to meet driver's needs, Jeep unveils its most luxurious and capable Grand Cherokee. The newest Jeep product closely follows the original concept of the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk, but now with a raft of upgrades to put the 2017 over the top.
The New-Look Interior
Look inside to see where the majority of the new Grand Cherokee’s changes are to be found. A posh interior made of full leather, replete with a trademark Cherokee diamond-style design, adds panache and a feeling of luxury complemented nicely by the console, dashboard and door panel components, all wrapped in Nappa leather.
Performance and Power Trains
The 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee features a powerful 6.2-liter, V8 engine, capable of emitting a mind-boggling force of 707 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. Not surprisingly, its powertrain can reach 50 in less than 5 seconds.
Another option is the 6.4-liter V8, which is able to generate a respectable 475 horsepower. For this variant, you can choose between a five, six and eight-speed automatic transmission system, depending on the trim level or engine type.
New Safety Features
New safety features for the 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee are perpendicular and parallel parking assistance as well as lane departure warning. Other attributes that the Summit continues to uphold include blind-spot detection, power mirrors that are auto-folding, and headlamp washers.
The 2016 Grand Cherokee will be available at a Jeep dealer in El Paso late this summer. Don't let your summer fun slip by without a look at this top-selling luxury vehicle.
